Sorry, 2019 has been fully booked

Kennels can be stressful due to the unfamiliar environment, dogs, and staff. This can be particularly difficult for dogs with behavioral issues. That’s why BigPicture.Training offers in-home pet sitting. We invest the time getting to know you and your beloved pet(s). The key is BigPicture.Training’s knowledge of canine body language, positive reinforcement, and love of animals. The ability to recognize subtle signs of stress and fear ensures that your dog is not put in situations they may find uncomfortable, ensuring the safety of your pet and others.

The base rate for in-home sitting for one dog- $80/day, and includes two meet and greet in-home visits prior to sitting.

Additional pets, special needs, and distance incur additional charges. A quote will be given after more information about your unique needs are gathered.

Basic Requirements- ID tags, harness for walks, enough food and medication for the duration of the stay, a wellness checkup from your veterinarian within the last 10 months.

Contact us for a quote. Please include the dates required, how many/type of animals, and any special needs. Thanks.

"Drew is an essential part of our dog Neko's success. It's difficult to find individuals in the industry who truly understand animal behavior. Drew's comprehension of this, especially as it relates to fearful dogs is why we trust him with Neko and credit him with her continued progress. We are so grateful to have found Drew!"

"My dog, Elsa, is reactive to other dogs and has an anxiety disorder. While most of the time being with Elsa is very easy, there are occasions when she becomes stressed and acts out. Having someone with Drew's knowledge and experience taking care of her gives me piece of mind that in the rare instances where Elsa becomes stressed I know that she and those around her will be safe. "Drew is amazing. We met him during training classes with our special needs dog so he was familiar with our unique situation. Having him start sitting for us was a seamless and easy transition and we can travel without worry when he is over at our house. We can tell Drew takes good care of our pups and spends quality time with them because both dogs are so relaxed and happy when we get home. He also shares text updates with GREAT pictures of our babies which we love. We are so lucky to have him as our sitter and would recommend him to others in heartbeat."

"We recently moved away from the Chicago area, and I have to say that having Drew to take care of our dog may be the thing we miss most! Calvin is a special dog—he's incredibly wonderful with us, but terrified of strangers, can make himself look very scary, and has a bite history. Drew's knowledge, confidence, calm demeanor, patient, and gentle persistence were invaluable. He happily put in the time Calvin needed to get comfortable. They became best pals, and that was truly life-changing for us. We could travel with complete confidence knowing that our beloved boy was in the best possible hands. Anyone who loves their dog(s) the way we do will understand—having that kind of trust really can't be beat. (And as if all that weren't enough, Drew took amazing pictures of Calvin and shared them with us. Who doesn't love gorgeous pictures of their dog??)"
